Running the triples bid is the only way I can get off a sleeper bid. You guys are right the extra 1 cent isn't enough. You mainly make money on clock time. It's very time consuming hooking and dropping those things on both ends of the trip. Wasn't us on Donner. We go the southern route from October to April. It's in our local work rules. Don't plan on hitting Donner anytime soon. New bids are coming out next week and I think my partner and I are gonna switch and do a Portland or Seattle this time around. Just gotta wait and see what come out. Always something new every bid.

@cenutry gotcha, the cascade as were nice. Tell them to get more twin screws, we have plenty of them. They get better traction to in the snow and rain. Come to YRC, they never call you if your late or whatever and we are allowed to stop for a hour lunch.

@squonk DON'T TAKE A NAP ON THE WHEEL!!!! Do what I do, raise the seat all the way up and put your feet on the dash. They say using the wheel as a pillow can make you fall asleep on the wheel.

@dumptruckin how do you like it so far

@skimmy that's a tough choice, sleeper or triples, I'd deff have to think about it. And haha on the video, that first lizard was right up squonks alley, big fat toothless one

Dont know if you guys got cb radio like I do but I've heard lot lizards advertise on it.

off to providence RI, and i84 still isn't fun

I hear you on the triples. I had to do it a few times form Las Vegas to Beaver, UT when the meet driver called in sick.

Don't blame you for wanting a bid to Portland or Seattle. I've lived in Cali all my life and I'd rather drive cross country and deliver in Edison, NJ!!! I think the I-5 corridor is one of if not the most boring, crowded highways to drive on. It's driving me insane!

lmao! Funny video. I've yet to see one. You'd think they'd be everywhere in this economy.

Yikes! I never heard that. I shall have to try something different like you suggested.
