Choke strap = Usually a 4" strap wrapped around pipe so if the load shifts forward it will tighten the strap.
Edge protectors = Plastic shaped like an L that fit on the edge of your load in between the straps and load. They are used to protect your straps. They can, also, protect the load from the straps. Can be made of metal to use between chains and a metal load.
Pipe stakes = Round or Channel steel that fits in your stake pockets to prevent a pipe load from rolling off the trailer.
Grab Hook Hook on the end of your chain that has a narrow j part, usually, with a small spine that "grabs" the chain link it is hook on.
Slip Hook A much wider J with no spine, usually hooks to directly to parts of machinery.

Sorry folks, NewB here.... um how about: "Flatbed" ? It's what I have about 3am when the bride and I stay with relatives and sleep on the air-matress, never fails. Warning- I am contemplating coming over to your side folks, I'm on Pneumatics hauling sand now. Took me two months to get checked out on those babies; they wouldn't let me leave the yard until I could spell "PNUEMATIC".
Great thread you all have here.jxu417 Thanks this. -
