It didn't occur to me to lie. I was heading home and planned on getting a new phone during my home time. But hey, blame me all you want...

Some guys like doing it old school, no phone, no GPS. Heck, I saw a Landstar flatbedder with a WHITE/GMC cabover, how often do you see a WHITE/GMC anything anymore!

Whoa I wasnt blaming you!! I would have reacted AWHOLE lot worse then you did lol

Its just in todays world we ALL have guidelines and procedures for our job and the people "who are in charge" ONLY care about the "corporate" procedures!! I just know what its like on "that side" of the counter

I just dont see how you keep your calm and didnt sound like a druken sailor in there

    mje and VisionLogistics Thank this.

Wow, hard to believe someone like that stays employed let alone becomes a manager. Hopefully corporate deals with it but from some of the comments it doesn't seem likely.

    Really?

    VisionLogistics and mje Thank this.

It was strange... when she said that stuff, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was in shock, which I guess was good since otherwise I'd probably have yelled at her (which would have made me feel even worse later).

Were it my employee, and I could verify it, she'd have been fired on the spot.

@PackRat: I know what you mean about old school. I parked next to one of them guys today at Pilot. He had directions written on his side window with grease pen, and paperwork all over the dash. Ahh, the good old days. I traded my grease pen in for a GPS. It's amazing how much easier trucking has become in the last decade, in that regard.

I need to make a trip to Seattle, and stop by that TA sometime. Hope she's working and I can buy something and return it. I'd hurt that poor girls feelings.

The North Bend TA off of I90? I've never had any problems there. If anything , they are always overly freindly. Even the shop is pretty speedy compared to most of the TA's out east. My only real complaint is that they dont have a buffet. Who wants soup and salad?

I've never had a problem until I returned brittle zip ties and didn't have a phone number to write down. :)

    mje Thanks this.
