For what it's worth, the TA rep contacted me after I forwarded this link to them. He seems sincere and eager to correct the issue. I'll follow up after we reach a disposition. Alternatively I invite him to respond here if he wishes.

    mje and scottied67 Thank this.

TA called me this afternoon and we discussed the incident. He was sincere and wanted to make sure I was satisfied, and remained a customer. They will take corrective measures and capitalize on the opportunity for some coaching that will help ensure a better customer experience in the future. After having taken the time to send them a letter detailing the incident, it was disappointing to not get a reply initially. Since having talked to him today, however, I'm satisfied that my complaint didn't fall on deaf ears. Good Job TA-Petro on the follow-up.

Between the bomb-cratered parking lots, the understaffing, the fact that something's ALWAYS broken, and the way they're constantly trying to rip you off on your fuel points at every turn...Satan will wear a parka before I ever set foot in any TA ever again. One of the happiest days of my driving career was when my company dumped that TA ACCESS card and went to TChek. I cashed in as many points as I could, shoved my RoadMiles card in the shredder and never looked back.

Wonder how long they're going to take to run the Petros into the ground? :biggrin_25513:

No. He doesn't. There is no reasonable expectation of privacy while working in the capacity of a cashier in a public establishment, while wearing a name tag on one's shirt. My letter didn't violate any statute, even when published to this forum.

About the only claim she could potentially make is libel/slander. Doubtful since she'd have to prove that the events didn't happen the way you described and like you said, there's potentially video evidence in your favor.
