Nawww... it's 50!
We're running slow because our owner has decided he'd rather keep that money we make for him, rather than making the oil companies richer. It pays the company guys back in an across the board wage increase a couple of years ago, fuel bonus, new trucks, great terminal facilities. Lots of reasons to do what the guy who signs the paychecks asks them to. Company trucks, 62 on cruise, 58 on the pedal - unless you can't manage to toe the company fuel mileage line.

Everything is planned and routed at 45, so we still have plenty of time from A to B.

JB...... Anything you'd like to share that you maybe DON'T like?
-
Sure. I don't like getting a PO for a scale out.

Generally speaking, Prime has more procedural red tape than Werner.
The upside to that, however, is that they are infinitely more professional as a whole, with a much higher level of morale and friendliness.
But a dispatcher is a dispatcher, and a truck is a truck, no matter where you are.jomar68, 123456 and superpet39 Thank this. -
Thanks to all in this post for all the great info! I have decided to make the move to driving as a way of life. I have been accepted by Millis Transfer to their Trenton, Ohio training facility, but am seriously looking into PRIME now. Everything that I read about PRIME indicates they are a high quality company.
One question: Does PRIME do hazardous loads? I haven't taken the HAZMAT test for the permit yet and want to know if it's worth while. -
JB, it seems as though your time TnT is flying by. What I understand from others, when you finish this phase...is when the "pressure" is applied to go l/o...or sign the lease to become a lease operator. I am reading bad horror stories out there about other companies. Please keep us posted as to the atmosphere or amount of pressure when it comes time to get your truck. Thanks.

why do people want to work for prime there trucks are way too slow they can go 62-63 but want you too go 52-53 forget that
if I ever drove for them I would got 63 screw that fuel bonus half the time you dont get it
