Akron OH -- didnt think I'd need fuel additive when I filled in TN, but its snowing here in Ohio. I hope the temp doesn't drop too much overnight...

 

Apparently we have a new night dispatch in Lancaster who thinks its appropriate to leave drivers parked on the side of the road instead of bringing them to the yard at 3 am.

 

Whoever trained him or her told them to watch the deadhead miles! They will figure it out soon enough I hope!

Preplanned to CT -- hooray for NE pay. I will go through the greater NY metro area en route, but it shouldn't be too bad at 2am. Unfortunately I missed a reset by 3 hours the other day so I'm running recap & probably won't be getting that nice long weekend run to which I've quickly grown accustomed.

 

Pitstop in Austintown OH for a new trailer brake chamber -- I pulled the same trailer all last week & quickly forgot how much I hate d&h. This brake pot is one of those weird ones that always looks like it is caged, so it has caused some delay in locating suitable replacement parts. Trailer had just had its DOT done too (at a TA - not cnw)

Are you going to be running alot in the North East now? I don't see a lot of Tyson trucks but usually run w/ a Bell & Evans and Perdue truck down to chicken farms in PA from NJ once done our NJ deliveries, age old question is answered;

Which gets to destination first, the Chicken Truck or the Egg Truck? Thus far Chicken truck all but once this month. Chicken truck 7, egg truck 1
