I like him alright. His relationship with my trainer isn't his relationship with me.

    Roknric Thanks this.

Thanks for the info so far JB, looking forward to hearing more about your experience w/Prime. I was wondering how they determine mileage pay (i.e. do they pay practical miles, shortest route, or zip code to zip code)? Thanks once again for the thread & info.

I have roughly 10yrs Driving Exp and most of those were OTR. Im a CDL Instructor and Driver Trainer. I am a I/C Truck 620363 with Prime Inc. I started out as a company driver, I started at .41/mi In a full-sized truck. After 2 yrs of being a company driver and dealing with the micro management I switched to lease. Company driving and Lease/Owner Op has advantages and disadvantages. I can answer any questions anyone has about Prime Inc Company/Lease Operations, Electronic Logging 101 and maximizing your earning potential both on the company and lease side. To whom ever talks mess about Prime Inc. We have no reason to drive more than 55-58mph. Prime Inc ONLY books fright at 45-50mph avg given breaks/stops/ect... If you are very good at trip-planning, can drive for 8hrs straight, progressive shift, keep RPMs under 1200-1250 at all times, and willingness to learn from veteran drivers, you will make good money with Prime. Under current DOT HOS I can drive 9hrs straight,15min Misc On-Duty,15min DVIR, Exact 10Hr break and never run out of hours. I always laugh cause the guys that fly by me going 70+mph 5x a day arrive maybe an hr before me if picking up and delivering to the same place. Plus when I ask about their operating costs and Net Fuel Costs they dont know. They just say... "I make enough money to run 75 or I cant drive 55-58mph, It puts me to sleep" I make money on Fuel Surcharge Every week and my Net Fuel cost is around .08/mi I Avg 8.25-8.75mpg loaded and 9.5-10.4mph mty. I sleep a lot better more rested, never in a rush and always 2-10hrs Early for my appts. Any questions or concerns feel free to email me at AuNaturelTruckinLLC@Gmail.com I am also looking for recent trucking school grads considering coming to Prime Inc. Or current PSD students looking for a different TNT trainer. Thanks for all yall do out there and keep the shiny side up.

It's all good. You'll get there. And hey, money is good. Or at least it helps Momma keep a roof over the kids' heads. :p

Cool....consider it done. I've sent you an email. I think I need to be looking for a different trainer for TNT phase, so let's talk sometime!

Rough couple of days, last shipper held us up by eight hours. Missed upgrade orientation, but I hit the first two classes I needed to take (again), and nothing else to do till tomorrow afternoon. Prolly gonna hit up smith system tomorrow morning for something to do.

Truck Friday, looking like it'll end up being a lightweight Prostar. I'll be sure to post pictures for your perusal.

If you could, see if they'll let you into a lightweight Cascadia, and post your observations of the differences between the two. That would be useful to the newbs...
