Sitting at home for the weekend. Got a load thru the house and doesn't deliver until after 1300 on Monday in Sioux Falls. At the same time, lost my FM this week. He is being deployed to Afghanistan in October so with all the training and such he decided to leave Roehl. He was being stretched too thin. I don't blame him.
Met my new FM when I was thru the mothership. She seems to be a straight shooter and a little edgy. I like that!

Back in Appleton to wait for the pirateship to come back. The shop supervisor said it should be back tonight. Once I get it back I will head to the paper mill in De Pere in the morning to finish my current load then it will be off to the UP. I will be picking up in Quinnesec, MI and taking it to King Of Prussia, PA.

I call in the day before launch to check on preplan, then ill stop by the truck later and plan it out. my FMs have all operated this way in my lengthy career here, only once have I not had a preplan by the late afternoon before launch. I park the truck about 10 minutes from the house. sometimes ill sleep in the truck the last night so I can get an early start without waking the household.

Anyone have any idea about the best way into washington dc? I'm delivering a load to a jobsite at 950 new york ave nw, and can't get directions. I've never been in the area and looking at potential routes to the cons I'm seeing a lot of streets going underground and popping up blocks away. And not sure what's restricted and what's not with getting that close to the white house.
