I recall working a dedicated account for DollarTree for this outfit. Most new drivers on the account only got 2 to 3 loads per week and averaged $400 take home per week. I requested to go to another account many times and they never moved on it. So I moved on. If you drive for them remember they don't care if you starve and can't meet your bills. Just another company that needs to be blown off the road.

I'm thinking about working for USX, a recruiter name Bonnie is coming my school later this month. Do they let you take your truck home?

Not really. They figure if you have a big enough parking spot, well then .... maybe. Don't count on taking the rig home. Gonna have to find a place to park it, call for a ride each time you want to go home. If they get you home. I had a bad experience with this... well actually horror stories. For example: "Yeah we have a load for you come on in" (this is Christmas mind you) I arrive, NO LOAD FOR TWO DAYS!! F them.

I've taken my truck home every time. Now getting home when requested? That's a different story. ALWAYS late. And after Christmas last yr., got a 900 mi. load, then sat at a trk. stop for 5 days thru New Year's waiting for another one. Will know better next yr..

I am a Trucker, I haul loads to people that need them. If I can not do it, I pass them on to drivers that can. Way it is. I don't like the East coast being from the South But I respect it. Cold weather is not my game. I haul them if I need to. I don't say no, I just do it.

and like what flood said is true another trick is try to never take a load home with you because they WILL want you to deliver it whether your on ht or not. I always leave my truck at tunnel hill and take my chevy where i need to go.

As far as i know you cant even turn down a new york state load, may of changed since i got hired i dont know. only load i can say no too is new york city.
