I switched from OTR to a regional account. Man, what a difference. Support shift even on weekends answers and responds within minutes and the pay is WAY better. All I can say is if you people get the chance to get on to a dedicated account, I would do it. I was ready to leave Schneider but am really happy now.

There are some. My first DBL sucked....former driver no less, but didn't have a clue. My 2nd DBL was ok, good sometimes, not good others. The DBL I have now is great, I don't know what it is with her, but she must have something over someone's head LOL. I have a problem, it gets fixed immediately. I had my windshield crack, called indy and gary, both told me 2 days to get it fixed. Called my DBL to let her know. Without making a phone call she told me to just head into Indy.

20 mins later on my way to Indy, I get a message from her telling me to go to the shop thru the express bay and they will get it changed and have me on my way. Stopped in, adviser looked at me like I was nuts "we can't change that now!". Then another guy comes over looks at my truck number and tells me to pull to the express bay they will have it changed in 30 mins LOL.

I have had two DBL's and both have been awesome. Never had a problem with either of them.

What is your pay rate on the dedicated account and which dedicated route are you on? What was your pay rate while OTR?

Dedicated accounts are -.02¢ pay cut. Reason you get home more and better millage I call it bs. Reason why I didn't go dedicated. And I have target acct 4miles from my house

You mean I can make .45 cents if I get off dedicated?? Fact is: dedicated pay depends in the account.

yep.....some pay more, some pay the same, some pay less. It works out to be a balance between work / money / home.......kinda like the industry as a whole.

whats lost in your post is the accessoral pay that comes with many accounts. On my account that means a range of $275 to $350 a week MORE . Also mileage is different. Running between 1500 and 2000 a week. closer usually to 1800 to 2K. Can leave 15 to 20 hours on the shelf too.
