Commanding what we can and cannot say is comparable to the many trucking regulations most everyone hates. If you play the card theres a forum for politics, I question your view of free speech which you probably support. So why tell me/all of us, it is ok to express your opinion, you just cant do it here?
Thats like putting a governor on my truck.Last edited: May 3, 2013

The Mod's monitor these forums for many reasons. Off topic questions, foul language, bulling, things like that. This topic has gotten off track now. If I were you, I would pm your questions, concerns, dictations to them personally or you might find your self band from the site.
Now, again I feel that trainers need to have a minimum amount of time in the industry. 5 years OTR across the entire country is what I feel should be the standard. Also I feel that when a driver has said time, they should then go to a certified training school either in the company(i.e. Schneider has one for their Training Engineers). It was about 2 weeks being paired up with other trainers in training and a curriculum to follow. I feel that since we have to learn through the government regs, trainers should be certified through the government regs as well.
This is a professional occupation that we have. It is not seen that way through the eyes of most. How ever we can do things to change it so that trucking IS the profession it should be.
Side note: I remember looking at old photos of truckers in the 50's and 60's. button down shirts with a tie and dress slacks and shoes. Definitely made a better image of a professional truck driver.Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
