Is their anybody who knows who the terminal manager is out of the Mocksville terminal? It use to be David and another fellow that help, I think his name was Steve. not real sure about that. I've heard they have had a manager change there. Are things better or worse?

Crap I replied to this yesterday and must have forgot to hit post
But anyway the new guy is Tim Allen, he took Davids spot when he moved over to be a recruiter, and Steve is still the dispatcher. Tim is a really straight forward and by the book guy, not sure but I get the vibe that he was a marine. I havent seen much of a change about better vs worse really since I rarely get by the shop but I do a LOT less waiting for loads since he came in but I'm not sure if thats because of him or just an increase in freight. -
Okay, good deal. I drove for them last year. They called the week before last and ask if I would come back. I said I'd think about it! If I do, I'm taken the truck home this time. Its a two hour drive from the house to the terminal. I don't think my old truck will make that trip to many more times.I googlemap the terminal, looks like they've cleaned the place up a little.

Anyone know anything about the CT terminal in Savannah? I am scheduled for orientation on the 13th or 14th. Thanks.

The CT terminal is the main office for CT, its in Port Wentworth just outside of Savannah. Roddy will be the man for your OR. All the big wiggs will be their, Pres. vice Pres and so on. Its just now starting to get hot down there (was there a week ago). When tarp folding time comes they try to get that done in the morning before it gets to hot. Oh! one more thing, the sand nats will eat you up. You will have to fold the tarp by yourself and pick it up and put it on the trailer by youself. Are you driving or renting a car or taking the bus? when you head to CT from the hotal you need to watch for the Kenworth sign on the left side of the road. Grange road is a side road just before that sign, if you pass the KW sign you have gone to far. Morning and evening traffic is heavy, a lot of trucks. it'll take you about 15 to 20 minutes or longer to get to CT. OR starts at 7 am. The first day is the Peeeee in the cup day along with the the weights and seeing the Doctor. You'll know by thursday if you are hired. Maybe before then, we lost one man the first day right after the peeeee in the cup drill, not sure what he was thinking? Have you ID and your SS card, they'll make copys of it. You'll also have to take some test, you must pass all test. One of the test you can only miss 2. If you should not pass all of the test, they'll let you take them again. Don't sweat it, you'll do alright have fun. Do you know what terminal you'll be working out of?

No. Got to leave something for a surprize, haha. They do feed you, two days of subs and one pizza, the other two meals are on you. They have some of the new trucks on their lot. They've got 200 new Internationals coming in, nice rigs. Thats a change from the Mac's. Mac got wind of it and sent two of their new trucks. Didn't get to see inside of them. Oh, and there all auto's, not one stick in the house! A few of the fellows were not happy about that. But once they did the road test they changed their mind. Auto's are great for stop/go traffic, just remember to keep that left foot on the break until you feel the truck pull. They'll also go over spread axle trailers, theres a few things you'll need to know about them if you'r not up on them. All in all its a light hearted class. You mit see Roddy get after a few of the other drivers. He got after one for wearing a tank top t-shirt. Not once but twice on the same day no more than a hour apart! Da! The only problem we had was they didn't have enough people to give the road test. They give the road test on Thursday, myself and two other drivers had to take it on Friday morning. We three had driven before so they left us until last, around the block all right hand turns. No big deal.
