I have done a lot of driving in the Chicago area with Crete and have never been routed around the toll roads. sometimes if headed west out of town, they won't route you across 88, but the toll roads within the city have never been an issue. just my experience.Last edited: May 12, 2013

My advice...if you see Crete...RUN! The dispatchers are horrible to the drvers. My husband was broke down for 6 days. When he finally told them that his wife was about to drive a cross 3 states to get him, they had him a rental car and the location of his new truck within 45 minutes. During this breakdown, they would also tell him to sit and wait on a call that would never come. And when he would call themand leave messages,if he called again, they would get pissy and tell him not to call again and they would call with updates. So he didnt and then his mgr fussed because he didnt keep in contact with breakdown. It has just been one thing after another. Not to mention his raise was was .03 per mile less than what he was told. Needless to say,his resume has been updated and distributed. Just got a call for a 2nd interview next week.

Just my two centsmje Thanks this. -
I am so sorry to hear that. They load right down the road from me. I pass them everyday. Their drivers seem cautious and professional. The equipment looks good. Well what I see at the place they load. I know a lot of their drivers. Some are my neighbors and they have nothing but good to say about them. Maybe they don't know about the whole company.

OK - So, to summarize it : If I join Crete as a company driver on Jan 1st,
1)how much will my W-2 show as gross income the following year?
2)How many total weeks will I have been out on the road?
3)how many days off will I have been home?
4)will they have provided me with 401k / retirment match plus med/den/vision at less than $260/mo. for individual?
5)If DOT gives me a full roadside inspection plus a 10 log check: will I score at least 90% compliant?mje Thanks this.
