Hotel bus slams into tractor-trailer

Good ole USA....they're going to pay big time for this one.

 

bus looks like it was moving at a good speed buy the skids.

 

So i'm not the only one who sees usa trucl making a u turn

 

This is why U-turns in a truck is on the short list of absolute no-do's (except in extreme and very rare circumstances). This is why many carriers have a zero-tolerance for u-turns policy. This is why this driver will be summarily dismissed and probably never able to drive again for any major carrier who does background checks. No one was killed here but the accident should not have happened. I'm not ready to call the bus driver "inattentive". For all we know the bus driver was very attentive and able to slow enough to prevent more serious injuries before the crash. Idiot truck driver. I have no patience for drivers who attempt a u-turn, let alone without being absolutely sure it can be done safely. I'm not sure if perhaps there was low bridge preventing him from going to a series of turns to get turned around, but regardless how can you make a conscientious u-turn and not know if someone is approaching from the rear before doing so?

 

I even hate making a U turn with all of the lights on the fire truck because of the risk.

 

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
