walmart is the best driving job i've ever had

I dont bust my rump, I do earn my money,you may think your treated like like a king put your nothing more than a possible thief in WMs eyes..all they worry about is who's stealing from them today, have fun looking over your shoulder everyday wondering if this day is your last because of all the snitchs and brown nosers they got watching your every move, Also I love sleeping in my own bed .have fun living in a truck..

 

@ NYVET,,Look WM is a good OTR job compared to most of the crappy companies out here and if you dig it thats your busisness it anit for everybody...now tell me can you still pass another WM truck without worring about that driver taking down your truck # and calling you in saying I just got passed by a walmart truck..good luck ,happy trucking at wally,I wasnt trying to argue with you over wally just stating my opinion..

 

bigdogpile, I get it...its not your thing. And thats just fine. Enjoy your high paying job. I can't get a high paying job where I am. My number one consideration is my family. Not me...not being home all the time...not brown-nosers...nothing but my family and the prospect of being able to save money, put kids through college, maybe a trip to Disney...

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if this job is for you, it doesn't even matter if it's for ME...it needs to be whats best for my family. I am glad you are happy where you are AND are paid well. Take care.

 

sounds like your just a bit jealous... there is no looking over your shoulder. walmart has nothing i want to steal I can afford anything they are selling. pass walmart trucks all the time and get passed by them as well. if i am passed i really dont give a rats ###. there are snitches and brown nosers in every company... they have one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry... its almost impossible to get fired unless your just a screw up or a druggy.

I walked away from a 8 year job 4 weeks vac driving a day cab monday through friday making 1200.00 week salary and have not looked back. I get more rest now then i ever have.

Hey blue, maybe you should reread my 1st post, I told the people giving me all kinds of BS about stuff that has nothing to do with driving a truck to shove it, I apllied to drive a truck, I dont care if somebody takes an extra long break and would I consider that stealing from the company..yea they asked me 50 rediculious questions like that, so I got up and walked out on them.that was 10 years ago they may lowered their standards since then..that is not being jealous..ok..

 

And for your info, I live 5 miles from one of WM DCs and I have friends & neigbours who drive for & work inside the DC so I do know what the heck I'm talkng about.when I speak about walmart

 

The drivers swear to walmart that they will never say to anybody by any means what they get paid and if they do they get fired ..yea hows that to be hanging over your head ?
