I think they meant Neenah (aka the Appleton terminal which is between Neenah and Appleton). Which might indicate the level of detailed insider knowledge they have about the subject.

And oh look, it's their first posting to this site with a newly-opened account.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Yeah I know what they were trying to say. Sounds like another one of those Drivers that couldn't handle it. So they come on here with their one post and talk a bunch of nonsense.

    technoroom Thanks this.

I appreciate the " it will get better" comments, I have been with the company a total of just under two years, and while the holidays are always bad for freight, back to back 1400 mile weeks don't pay the bills, especially when I watched trucks d&h all weekend. Low miles ate the reason I left last time.

Good morning. Although you will likely be a one hit wonder and never post again, I just wanted to let you know there is a separate forum for complaining about a company, or even make a thread in the Roehl forum if you like. The purpose of this thread is for drivers current and past, to check in and connect. While I appreciate we all have different opinions, please keep this thread for its intended use if its not asking too much. Thanks.

Let's dissect this just a bit.

"routed onto streets where only cars should go and be ready for the Bristol, New Jersey bridge; with its 15-ton weight limit sign" Well last I checked you are the driver. And no matter where or who you drive for it's your responsibility to drive LEGALLY. If you didn't, I guess it's Roehl's fault.

"while your tractor and trailer weigh 25-tons empty" Not sure what truck and trailer combo you were driving, but empty I weigh 15 tons. That's 30,000 pounds for the uneducated.

"running you ragged with 14-hour work days and 11-plus hours of driving time" How did you work over your 14 and drive over your 11? The qualcomm, if you had one, goes crazy when you are nearing your limits. Going back to point one, "it's your responsibility to drive LEGALLY."

"dispatcher will be happy to tell you that all of the answers are in your "Driver's Reference Guide"" Well, the answers are in the guide. What's your point?

"it's your responsibility to ALWAYS check your fuel and routing info....sounds nice, but in reality, you'll never have enough time," Once again, it's your responsibility to drive LEGALLY. Why wouldn't you have enough time? Takes 5 minutes to plan your route. Have to get away from shipper? Fine, you know where your going, GO! And once you have found a place to safely pull over, do it and plan the rest of you route. It's not rocket science!

"your paycheck will suffer involuntary and unannounced withdrawals for the "opt-out" IRA," Uhm, excuse me for being blunt, WTH are you talking about? First, Roehl doesn't have an IRA, it's a 401k. If you don't want to save for your retirement, that's your choice so you can OPT-OUT! If you would have paid any attention during your orientation it was clearly stated. If it wasn't in your class, then maybe "it's your responsibility" to read the documents you signed! Yes, you did sign up for it! Oh wait, you didn't sign up NOT to have it. My bad!

"Apparently, Schneider's money recently paid for the construction of their terminal in Nina, Wisconsin." Ok, first if you don't know the name of the city, (Neenah) you don't have any business bringing a "rumor" into your complaint. Second, why would Roehl have Schneider pay for our terminal? Roehl has no debt and buys all of their trucks with CASH. You know greenbacks!

"Don't abuse yourself this way. You deserve better, believe me." So far everything you have said is pretty idiotic. So why would anyone "believe" you? You don't like Roehl for whatever reason, none of it appears to be because of your inability to read a map, a document that you signed, or the FMCSA manual. I get it, it's all Roehl's fault that you didn't succeed at trucking. Maybe you should try underwater basket weaving!

And to all the naysayers, Roehl is just as good and bad as any other trucking company. What you put into it is what you get back from it. My FM (dispatcher) sends out messages every week that makes me want to throw the Qualcomm out the window. Why? Because the intended audience is not me, but what is said in these messages makes you wonder the quality of individual who they have driving a truck. Of course, their success has nothing to do with themselves, it's all Roehl's fault, the shippers fault, the Consignees' fault, or Mother nature's fault. Never their own fault for waking up late, taking a 3 hour break in the middle of the day, not showering for weeks even though they stopped at the terminal 5 times and at numerous truck stops, buying McDonalds, Wendy's, a pizza, etc. at every stop and wondering why they have no money. Don't forget they have the best GPS, Blutooth headset, with their Ipad and Iphone.

    RANT OVER!
