Your message is very cryptic. Why can't you give specific info to prosective drivers? That is one of the problems that persists in this industry. Break the cycle and inform your fellow drivers!
Like I said, I am not looking for work at Wal-Mart.
Just be honest and help your fellow drivers. It's the least you can do!
walmart is the best driving job i've ever had

Why does it HAVE to be about CPM? There is so much more that you get payed for other than driving. The CPM is not the highest in the industry but not the lowest either. It is in the middle. For me it is more than just the pay. It is about respect, great work environment, excellent equipment, and consistent home time. I agree with NYVET. If you are interested, apply. If not, don't worry about it. There is more to this company than just the CPM. We are not sworn to secrecy or anything of the sort.

It's top secret . If they told you, they would have to kill ya. It's on a need to know basis. For eyes only. Hush , hush.Even talking about it could be dangerous. Forget I was here. If anyone asks, you never saw me . It truly is in all our best interests. You'll pardon me. I've gotta report back to Delta Force headquarters for a secret mission before I deliver my load of toilet paper. I may look like a trucker , but it's just my cover . Nobody knows. When they need the best they call me. Every now and then I gotta pull the nation out of a jam , you see. They will deploy anywhere, anytime. As long as they can get me a load going there.

My son drives for WalMart and I believe the pay scale for him with the time he has been there is .46 a mile, $14 an hour the whole time when unloading at a WalMart and same thing starting after about an hour somewhere else, and $42 a day for the ten hours off duty. He works out in Arizona. Miles are around 2800 to 3300 a week. That is what I believe he told me, and I remember things like that pretty good. He didn't mention anything about idleing policy, insurance and stuff like that.

Everything sounds good except for the unloading at Walmart, sleeping in the truck and running your tail off at 3,000 miles each week. That about right on the info though. I think the millage pay is a penny or two higher. They have pretty decent benefits considering what's out there. I'm pretty sure you have to use walmarts eye doctor. (which is what my wife and I use) I have a few people I know that works there. They are employed by Walmart and drive one of their trucks. They haul Walmart freight. Walmart is not a trucking company. They are the biggest employer in the world (just a fyi for the reason why the minimum wage outfits don't pay well).

Wal~mart is a private fleet carrier. Also there is NO unloading/loading for wal~mart drivers. All pre-loaded trailers, drop & hook and if the load is not ready, you go on the clock until it is.
mike5511 Thanks this.
