    Does anyone out there know how much PSI is behind the Gates of a Belly dump Trailer when clossed? I asl this because I was inside one cleanning it out and the pins for to keep the gates open broke and crushed my legs.

    What does your air gauge read?

    My dumps both used Fifth-Wheel Lock pins to secure the gates.....What kind of pins did you use?

    Maybe the same as or less than your typical max pressure on the truck. I think the weight of the gates is what did the damage. Hope you recover soon.

    The gauge on the tanks for the gates on my truck usually read about 140psi give or take a few.
