With so many new drivers coming out, Ffe knows they don't have to pay any extra. My first trip solo outa my trainers truck was to hunts point.

yes going to new york pays the same as going to waco lol and yes they do keep the company drivers out away from home on purpose everybody runs texas except the guys that live there , the texas guys useually run midwest to east , the northeast guys they keep on a texas /western regional and privy there messing you up if you live in cal you should be on texas regional , i think there scared if you get by the house you will drink a beer or something --- who knows , i got out of iowa at 3am friday and stopped at home about 2 in the afternoon i should of did all the calling myself but instead used peoplenet and have ffe confirm that the places would be open and they said i was good to go and didnt find out till saturday night half way to conneticut that she had been unable to contact anyone by phone and even if i called myself and didnt get ahold of anybody to get a no we will be closed ,.dispatch would not of let me sit at home with it --- there seems to be a pattern with them at 11 months they seem to put you through crap for you to quit before your years up this happens way to often for it to be a coincedence well i have 3 weeks left and i am not dumb enough to quit now, but after you get your year in there is a better attitude towards you and things get better from what i hear --- overall i have done good and have gotten great miles and except for a couple of people i like the company ---just got to hang in for 3 more weeks and weigh my options --- glad to hear you are doing good brittany lol i will have to try that flat bed thing maybe lol

flatbed ing is a good in the industry you don't deliver most weekends or nights but they do give you a little extra pay for tarping usually take that money and got a hotel in like a self reward but flatbed is for truck drivers 1that want A little exercise try to get on a company that doesn't tarp everything

do they let you idle for A/C, i'm sure they should, how's the trailers, old or trade in around 5 years old, good maintance on there equipment, looking at them and i now millis transfer is top notch been there in the 90's, PTL trucking has APU's but the equipment sucks i heard, 2 week refresher course , thanks, may get layed off, slow in making springs and stuff at factory here in pittsburgh,pa

unfortunately, this is no longer the case.
The new freightliner Cascadias in FFE's fleet, only use opti idle. Which is a real bugger to get going unless it's above 75+ degrees outside. It could be 70 outside, 90 in the truck. The thermostat in the trucks recognizes it's 70 outside, and 90 in the truck and mine would never turn on.
The Prostars use the icon idle system and electronic APU's. That's an okay system, the engine keeps the batteries charged automatically so the APU always works. The downside is that you're in a 13 letter you know what spreader.
The volvos use climacab, which would be a great system IF THE FREAGIN BATTERIES EVERY CHARGED! I have to idle mine for an hour or so after I park (manualy, by taping the gas when it threatens to turn off) to top off my batteries to get a full 10-12 hours out of it. When it's hot outside, or I'm sleeping during the day, I'll drape a spare comforter over my bed area from the top bunk to reduce the strain on the batteries, but I don't usually plan on getting a lot of sleep on those occasions because it rarely keeps up with the use.biker dave Thanks this. -
I guess I'm stuck in the northeast for eternity, this is what I was told when I asked if I was going to make hometime to CA by 6/05 and I'm still over on the east coast and PA is the furthest west Ive been in 3 wks.
I cant control where the freight goes everything is going to the northeast there just isn't anything going west,I'll see what I can do,"I was told".
This is what I got pickup load in GA on 6/02 and deliver in NJ on 6/04 maybe its just me but I don't understand how this gets me to CA by 6/05 they must have a master plan I'm unaware of.
I must be getting short on my year coming up for I think their trying to put the screws to me,I have to just laugh at some of this crap they come up with.
