I won't have this truck to much longer, so I haven't bought anything for it. Just gonna shine her up though when I take her home

Macks are a LOT more cramped than Petes, especially when it comes to legroom.

And as far as the Mack riding better than the Pete, well, that'll change after 30 or 40 thousand miles.

Likewise, you could say that petes and cats are also the chevy small blocks of the truck world.

Cheap because there are so many of them.

I heard that the 3 major truck makers [ Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner } are getting together to build a special truck,
    It will be a PeterWorthShaking.

Well, I'm 5'11 and have no problem with leg room in my '09 CXU, two of my coworkers are over 6', one is 6'4" and the have no problem in CXU day cabs. I have the seat as far back as it will go. As for ride, well, I've got 413,500 miles on it currently and it still rides as smooth as the day it was delivered.

There are just as many PETES sitting at the dealers with PROBLEMS as the other makes , but yet offer a PETE and $0.05 / mile less and you wil get drivers

I'll stay with frieghtliners, my columbia and my cascadia have considerability more room, quieter, ride smoother. setup with a high output DD15 590hp 2200 fpt, and and a 18 speed, it will still be running when the bid dog Peteboy is put to sleep.

By the way my columbia now has 1 million 600 thousand, just a inframe and my son is now driving it. No rattles.

It is not the make it is just driver preference, and how you take care of it.

FLATBED, MNdriver and Scania man Thank this.

A lot of it depends on how you take care of / treat a truck , lots of people get good service out of anything they drive while others have nothing but problems.

Today the newer trucks have problems that are not always driver related such as the electronics , pollution devices and that can happen to all MAKES / MODELS ..

So,..they vibrate excessively, rattle apart, are inefficient, leak fluids, handle like a walmart shopping cart, have antique styling, are overweight, underpowered and slow?

Elroythekid, striker and j3411 Thank this.
