Sitting in Kansas City,MO number 16 on the board, hoping this week will be a better week, got 2100 miles for the week and found out my 19 yr old nephew was killed Thursday by a train in California , To all the father's hold your children close today and have a Happy Father's Day !!

 

Tuesday delv. Renting car, heading to San Francisco. Check out the Presidio, Fisher man's wharf. Will look at the Golden gate Bridge and Alcatraz, but probably won't ride across or to either.
Wanted to see Travis AFB museum on way, but closed on Monday.
What else?

 

And being I delv to Stanford University campus, going to swing by, just to make sure I can get in and out with 70 foot of truck and trailer.
Google mapped it, looks sketchy.
And then rental becomes tax deductible.

 

I delivered there last year at my prior company -- assuming it is the same dock, it is doable in an staa tuck, but meant for box trucks & pups... You'll poke out into a lightly used campus roadway while being unloaded. Just go out the exact way you came in.

I remember it well because my codriver had his 2nd "incident" there, taking out a stop sign, a hedge, & 3 sprinklers trying to make a right turn he had no business attempting...


As for SF -- you might see if the Giants are playing? It is a nice ballpark...

 

Sitting on the couch getting a 34 in at the house then it's back to the water plant for another 5 days then well the same cycle all the time lol.

 

I am so jealous !! I love SF, make you try the calamari that they sell in one of the small vendor huts on the wharf, if you can go down Lombardi street,Ghirardelli Chocolates Factory (if you like chocolate), the zoo is really neat and along the beach there's a restaurant I think it's called the lighthouse, really good food.
