YardDart so sorry to hear about your daughter glad tho that everything is working out, my prayers and thoughts are with your family for a speedy recovery, Cancer is an ugly thing, lost both grandfathers and grandmother to Cancer. Also glad to hear that your coming back to Conway too

 

LOL we have an awesome FM wouldn't fire him at all, but these low miles are killing us. We were up in Aberdeen,SD and was told we could possible see something headed out West which I was excited for ( I know I'm weird I love going West), but after delivery at the TSC store 3 hrs later we get a preplan DH to work 380 miles in Council Bluffs,IA told no one is there and several loads in the area. I told my husband yeah right we'll get a TSC load in Waverly. Sure enough get a 426 mile load picking up in Waverly. Spoke with FM alil bit ago and he's trying to get us out of this area. Hope everyone has a great week !!

Prayers to you and your daughter and all affected by the big C. I was diagnosed in Feb of 2012, and listed as Cancer free by August of 2013. I get a little preventive chemo every two months which will last another year but every scan has come up clean. I wrote a blog about it that may be helpful to both her and loved ones. I don't add much to the blog these days as nothing changes much. I just keep thanking the lord and working my tookis off!

Kind of a few rough weeks since leaving the house so I have been under the radar. Picked up a student about 10 days out and passed through Jopmo. Wasn't feeling well so went to the doc. Pneumonia. Put truck in the shop, spent about 5 days in the hotel, ended up moving into a new truck, went back out after 7 days and picked up a new student as the original didn't want to hang around while I recupperated. Can't blame him.

Back on the road, gradually getting strength back, breathing better, and on the road to recovery. New student tries to not breath when I start coughing. Poor guy is going to do 10000 miles holding his breath!

Long story short, was MIA for a while but back now. Be safe you all.

Earned my wage today -- felt like land of Lilliput navigating a truck through SF during morning rush hour & jackknifing into a dock from a 1.5-lane alley with cars on either side.

Also spent $50 today in tolls (25 bay bridge, 25 vallejo) -- seems super silly for Con-way to limit our cash advances to $25 -- tolls in Florida would be even worse.

 

Kinda glad I left when I did. On my ecm says 6 days I've ran 3851 miles..

Where'd you go, Pete? Anything good happening? Not to be too nosy, of course...
