I went to the plant in Darlington a while back. I can probably count on one hand how many women I have called the C word. The lady that worked in the scale house was that times 10.

    Loading went okay though.

Follow the signs to the staging area and you call in on your CB with your load number and appt time. When they are ready for you they call out your number and you then pull onto the scale and go inside to get loading info.

I hauled some big steel bars to another Nucor facility in northwest Missouri They were laid back and easy to get along with there.

appreciate it MJ. never hauled out of there. bout to sign on with a new company and looks like I might be on somewhat of a dedicated account with Nucor. like to have a heads up if I can.

I hauled out of both quite a bit last year. Have your dispatch leave you a little window on the appointment time and have them reschedule right away if you are going to be late for any reason and you'll be okay. good facilities with good waiting areas and tarp areas. just plan to be there for 2-3 hours if you are on time. lots of trucks. If you're not on time, it's reschedule and the next appointment may be the next day.

I never parked overnight, but I can't imagine anyone would hassle you since you are outside the secured area. Don't remember that name on trucks, but like I said lot's of trucks in and out.

    5thwheel23 and MJ1657 Thank this.

Like Danny said the staging area is a dirt lot outside of the secured area. It is a big lot.
