Well I am going to say & yes do what you want, but!
A driver did just what you do and parks his truck at home and a drunk driver comes and crashes into the tractor. The court found the trucker should not have been # home should of been on a 10 hour break and this means he should not of been where he was so the truck driver was charged as guilty for killing the drunk driver. Now I don't have proof of this story but I heard it from MANY MANY drivers. I am looking for a link to it so if anyone has it would love it!
so keep in mind if you are on your way home and running illegal you may not get to go home for very long![]()
I think the kids/wife/family would rather see you alive & free as to being home on time (well the wifes should).
Have them sign on to truckersreport and read my messages maybe they will lighten up when you are late (with good reason guys.
Ok do what you want but you can't say I didn't tell you so![]()
Do you run illegal on your logs?

Logs, most safety people do. Where drivers have a problem is not with the safety dept. Try the dept that dispatches them. This is where the problem takes a wrong turn. You go after the drivers that get caught in between a rock and a hard place. Have you ever considered figuring out why they get in this spot to begin with? Look inside your own company at the ones who dispatch and make appts that can not be made. See what happens to the driver when he keeps missing his pic and drop times. Sometimes what seems to be the problem isn't always the problem. -
Yup i was right. NC and Va they only hire for dedicated teams!

We do not CONDONE running illegal and most dispatchers and safety work together. I stress if our dispatcher isn't letting you run illegal you need to tell me and if you are fired for refusing a load because of hours the dispatcher will be fired and you will be rehired no questions!
So we pretty much work together # our company. It might be a lack of drivers really beliveng what is being said in orientation
In the old days I could say we didn't work together but now they dispatchers should be aware they could go to prison as well if dispatching you illegal (well the CSR's and dispatcher knowing you are doing it and not preventing it).
It's a messed up world now and many companies (smaller ones) don't have that logic of running legal.
I will say you might get a load that can't be done, but that's when you need to say it's impossible to do.
You have to learn to say NO! -

You never know--maybe i will change my mind one day!
I gotta learn to share my space before i do teams again though! LMAO
