Please tell what is your objective? Why are you wanting to lease instead of just being a company driver?
I never understood the lure of these flease deals. At best you make the same as a company driver. At worst you drive for free and can have your credit ruined. Someone please explain to me what is drawing you into this over just being a company driver?
Yes he got a POS truck but he also realized what a sham the whole thing is and bailed. Like for example if you're late for a delivery they fine you $500. Or if you access your maintenance fund for repairs they charge you a $25 fee. Among other things.

I'm not saying that anyone'failed'per say, but there are certainly lessons to be leant here.
Flease deals are NOT structured for the lessee to succeed, they are structured for the company to maximize profits from yet another source of revenue.
I've said it before and been ignored, but will try to save just one person from getting scammed. Leasing a truck from the carrier you work for is never a good idea. There is no freedom to take the truck elsewhere.
Oh well, I tried.

I am giving up on this one.
Folks that are trying to save you from yourself get accused of having a bad attitude etc. we call that a load of bollox where I come from
If all you want to do is swing doors, get used to being payed accordingly.
If you want to make more, work more. Don't go Flease a truck and try to take shortcuts that don't work as a rule.
people have given excellent advise in this thread, advice that comes from experience at that. So maybe stop accusing them of having a poor attitude, when all they are doing is calling a scam a scam.
Oh, and Flease operators normally have very little say in how they run too, regardless of what some idiot recruiter says. Im outta this one, it's going downhill again.

So what do you suggest instead of swinging doors?

Sounds like your problem is the company you drive for. Grossing $800 on a good week is rather pathetic for an OTR driver. There is no reason why you should not make at least a thousand gross every week. I think your solution is looking for a new company not leasing.Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this. -
Any suggestions on a good company to look at? I've looked at many many companies and they all seem to pay about the same and the miles are just not there. I'm open to suggestions as the bills are piling up and the fiancé is getting pissed

And how is that 'choice' working out? Not very well from my comprehension of the English language.
A year huh? Wonder how many folks make it though......
