Picked up a maintenance truck from Corral Springs just north of Miami. Headed up the Florida turnpike now. I'm glad I use more chains than needed, the chains around the rear axles were loose and almost touching the trailer deck after only 90 miles! I'm thinking ill have to re-secure the rear somehow. Anyway, I'll be back at the house in about 2.5 hours, then leaving out in the morning for Kansas City.

hook the binder directly to the rub rail if you have too, wherever practicable and all that.

I added some straps to each side of the stabilizer. It's holding so far and my rear chains haven't come loose

Yeah but if you have to do it then you have to do it, or they could give us short chains

I picked up a bunch of excavator shovels, a street sweeper, and a compressor on a double drop yesterday just south of Love Field in Dallas and took it to Fort Smith, AR. Delivered this morning. Then was deadheaded back to the FW yard to pick up I-Beams bound for Fort Saskatchewan, AB... I finished securing and only had about an hour left.. so I just came home for the night. Will leave out sometime tomorrow. The load said it had to be there by Fri at 1030a but with 1980 miles dispatched... 2050 in reality.. no way... so i'll be there first thing monday morning. nice lazy weekend.

I stay away from gainesville whenever possible.. unless I need something done they can fix or i'm ordered to. They stifle my productivity and with the HOS change.. I don't afford anymore delays than necessary. But AZS is right.. don't give them any reason to make it more difficult out here :biggrin_25523:

Got a good run from Houston that picks up in the morning and delivers to Union Dale, PA on Friday. It'll be a tight schedule to make the delivery time but I'm gonna try.

Unloaded that 13'8" engine in Long Beach Monday then got told to head home for hometime after about 10 weeks out, dropped the truck off at KW as maintenance was all over me to get the PM done plus a couple recalls I guess. Back out Monday but then I get to take it to a thermo king to get the apu fixed! belt slipped off and got mangled up in there it looks like.

Stayed at the house last night on my way North. Let this morning and fueled just inside Georgia, took a break so I wouldn't worry about it near Atlanta. Come to find out I jumped the gun by 6 minutes, took a 24 minute break. So while I'm sitting still on i285 traffic due to a wreck I get a message on my elogs to take a 30 minute break. I was thinking wtf? I looked at my break and saw it was 24 minutes so I figured there's a loves about 20 minutes north of Atlanta in i75. I pull into this loves and go to off duty and I missed my break by one minute!!

Oh well, from now on when I take my breaks in the morning ill be making sure it's a full 30 minutes! This rule is killing me. Since I already ate earlier I'm not hungry or anything. I'm just sitting here, on ttr.

Do you know how to see how much time you've been in a certain status for?

If not, go to Logs, then arrow down and select Log Advisory. At the bottom of the screen it'll tell you how long you've been in your current status.
