Do you drive your tractor to orientation and pick up your trailer at that site?

I did drive mine and had the eobe put in while I was in orientation. Then you will call trailer utilization after you complete and they will send you to get a trailer

You will have 15 days to get your EOBR installed if installation is not available at your orientation center. The install took less than an hour for my 2009 Cascadia it may be longer on other tractors. They have installation contractors all around the country so finding one and getting in should not be a big problem.

The big problem at least coming out or orientation in Reno was finding that first empty dry van. You will be told to call trailer utilization the day your ready to roll and they will attempt to locate a trailer and pay you .63cpm to bobtail to that location. Do not be suprised if you have a long trip. I bobtailed fom Las Vegas to Boise ID. My classmate bobtailed from Sacramento to Boise then ended up having to get his empty in Otay Mesa,CA. You would think that an outfit the size of LS would have some extra empties lying around. During your travels you will see alot of empties but they are pool trailers and are being held by agents.

the eobr is actually plug and play, very easy to install, I actually sold my truck that I signed on with so I had to remove the eobr and re-install it in the new truck and was very easy to do. Just plug it into the data port.

When I did the Reno orientation I bobtailed up and the Wabash up there installed my EOBR. The Holiday Inn is really nice and they have a shuttle you can take to the orientation center so you can save the fuel.

Everything is Fontaine. If You're lucky, you'll get a new Revolution all aluminum, if you're not, you could get an all steel one, as there are a few left last I knew

Yeap still some of the old lead sleds running around in the system. I kind of like a steel and wood step, heavy equipment tears the alum decks up to easy

This is my first aluminum floor with this rented LS step. Every flat or step had a wood floor, but it sure is nice to scale 48,000 with a 51' combo!

Completed my one day orientation for returning after medical cancellation. Trailer utilization gave me an empty off the Grand Prairie yard and I have a load to pick up. Only problem is compliance apparently lost the 120 Day Maintenance Report I faxed to them in March when I went on medical leave and the Truck inspection report that I had to pay for to get requalified. So they have them in their email in box and will have to call in the morning to make sure they have them (again). Looking forward to rolling again. Little nervous about backing since I have been off the road for five months. :biggrin_25519:
