Look on the bright side, even if you had the $132 dollar TWIC card, they don't have readers to confirm it is legit.

I understand your concern. However, if that's your only concern then I would get the Application in. Crete had a preventable strike on my file that was about two years old when I put my application in here at Poly. We talked about it and that was it. They were more concerned with my DMV and over all driving record than that one incident. You could have a spotless record and not get hired BUT one thing is certain...if you never put in then you'll never get hired. I want you to know I always respect any decision you make regarding the matter. I can see you doing just fine at either place. You can talk yourself into doing either one. I know because I've been there my man! I'm not out for anything either which helps keep things cool either way. I enjoy sharing thoughts on how things fit me better here at Poly but I'll never take away from my respect for Crete. It's nice to share things here and I wish you well with whatever you do. Take care out there! :)

And back when the TWIC was first started I asked Crete if they'd pay for a TWIC if I invested my time to apply...they said nope. So now it's $250 per load instead. Classic Crete, save money on the front end, and they get screwed in the back end.

I appreciate it...I may just apply and if I get in I'll come over and do a happy dance with the rest of the Crete refugee's...if they say no...then all I've invested is a fax..and let the cat out of the bag that I am truly leaving...sooner or later.

As bad as things get, don't get too down. You've motivated a lot of us and I'm always amazed at how many tricks-of-the-trade you know. A person wouldn't learn that much and be so inquisitive if they didn't have a good attitude. You just tell it like it is, and we appreciate that.

I'll have to pull my DAC(or whatever they're calling it now), my CSA and get a copy of my MVR and check. This latest barage of non-stop problems has lit a fire under my butt to get something else going...before they push me too far and I just quit w/o another job set up and put myself under the hard place instead of being between that hard place and the rock.

It appears that the latest mcp200 update changed things a little. I notice we have the 3G network back instead of 1X only. And watch your logs. I could swear the 2 mile buffer before it switches to drive time changed. I picked my next load up from the Clorox plant in Houston. They didn't need my trailer at a door, so I took it to their drop yard that is 3 or 4 blocks away, then had to return to the lot behind the plant to pick up my load. I know I didn't travel 2 miles. When I 1st pulled in to check in, I just let it automatically switch to "on-duty" when I shut off the truck...and I didn't check it until I was getting ready to send in my load info and update my log info after picking up my loaded trailer...that's when I noticed I was back on line 3 for 6 minutes. I know it wasn't 2 miles from plant to drop yard...unless it's using the odometer now instead of gps to compute the 2 miles. Either way, I show driving for 6 minutes (some of which was time used hooking up to my load, locking and sliding the tandems)... Maybe they've read that once we're use to e-log we get to like and even prefer them, and that is an unacceptable situation for management..."a driver is happy with something we forced them to do....change it!!!!"
