so I got a message on ffe being bought out and KLLM owning 2/3 thirds of the company
I dont know much and asked my fleet manager if I was going to turn the ffe truck I had and get a KLLM truck
I know if I have to then I am leaving them and finding some where else to drive
pay has been terrible the last 6-10 weeks I was doing really good but I am not getting the miles I want

I doubt that you would have to turn in your truck because of a merger. Worst case scenario, you ll still drive your FFE or Lisa truck either with FFE, Lisa name taken off, and with the KLLM logo pulling FFE, Lisa, KLLM trailers. I d imagine once the trucks and trailers got to phase out stage, then they may go with the KLLM color trucks and trailers

I wonder about the training program. Where will that go? Will the phase 2 trainers still be able to train?

KLLM can only be a step up.
I haven't been with FFE long but long enough to go broke. I'm leaving as soon as I can afford to and I have no idea when I'll be able to afford to. Hopefully sooner than later.
The confusion and incompetence here is something to behold.cabwrecker Thanks this. -
FFE drivers: bear in mind that what we're being told isn't necessarily what's going to happen. Eventually FFE will cease to exist and KLLM will assume control of assets and infrastructure and impose their vision. -
I was pretty much hoping the longer I stayed at fee-fee the better it would get as a company driver...boy was I wrong , have less than 20 days and my 1 year contract for my refresher course is done.I've given up wishing things would get better but I just want to part ways now... and not soon enough for me.

I have no complaints on the pay.

update, FFE truck decals are being replaced with KLLM, the peoplenet system has changed to qualcomm elog, Welcome packets were sent to the drivers home, I don't know any FFE driver that attended orientation with KLLM, basically, figure it all out along the way. FFE and KLLM use different 401k companies and I wasn't able to roll mine over yet, I was told it might be like that until June 2014. Since KLLM is now paying us the contributions to my FFE 401k have stopped and I can now enroll with KLLM's program.
