understandable... I've started looking today for loads coming out on Friday-Monday from the house, I have a good week and then get a late start the week after because can't find nothing halfway decent leaving on Monday.. Seems like the good stuff starts appearing on Tuesday

Your maintenance account and all other things related to the truck and the business need to be broken out of what your gross take home pay is. Your maintenance should be part of your fixed costs just Insurance, truck note, and all other cost that are a set amount.

If you are going to own your own truck and run a business, if you cant take home a 1000 a week, is it really worth it? It surely would not be to me!

hasn't change things by much, all though the 30 min break screws up my curfew times in some places, makes it hard to get around at times. Just have to adjust my route planning a bit

It is a norm for me to take a 30 minute lunch break anyway. I think the thing that might hurt the worst is the 34 hr re-start modification.

There is a certain weekend which I always need a 34 hour restart to make sure I can complete the first two legs of my triangle without any hours-of-service problems. Recently I had to go on for 15 minutes just to make sure I did not get a 34 hour in since I need that fresh 70 later in the week.

That 8 hour rule has messed me up once so far. Customer said if I could get to them by 3pm they would off load me a day early. My GPS said I could be there by 2:45pm but my 8 hour clock was going to make me sit for 30 minutes before I could get to receiver which would make me get there 15 after. Messed up a good reload out the next morning.
