If you are wanting to do over the road you might check out MAY trucking out of Oregon, from all I have heard is they are a good company. Nice Equipment also.

My instructor when I went to school worked for Knight, and he said a lot of the same things you said here, you take the short loads when they ask, you get the long loads over the ones who wine about and not taking the short ones.

Just work for a company that doesn't take and specialize in junk freight. Forgot those short loads, and being a good lil driver by taking them. They are a waste of your time.

All mega companies deal with junk freight from time to time.As for not taking the short loads, you get a service failure on your dac incase you're not aware of that.

I drove for Knight. I know how the filthy dirty weasels operate. You don't get a service failure for not accepting a load. You get a service failure for accepting the load and delivering late or not at all.

    pattyj Thanks this.

Ummmmm knight is a non forced dispatch company....you can refuse loads. And service failures do not go on DAC.

Have you refused any loads?Ask knight if it goes on your dac then let me know.I bet they have/had drivers that have service failures on their dacs.Companies are funny that way.

Knights not really known as a company that dings up drivers DAC records. I simply cleaned out my truck and started my new job without informing Knight. They owed me money and it was a constant fight to do anything with them. It wears you down and in the long run being angry all the time will cut your life short. They still send me hilarious "come back and work for us" non sense. In other words you really have to screw up to get blacklisted by Knight. They'll hire anybody which becomes quite obvious after five minutes at one of their terminals.
