this story was mentioned on the trucking channel on sat radio today.
SRT has yet to responded to inquires for their comment on this.
Good going srt shows just how much YOU DONT CARE about your employees. -
Companies don't care about you or your family shame that that's how it is nowadays all you are is a number out with the old in with the new sad.
White_Knuckle_Newbie, Sly Fox, ColdDuck72 and 2 others Thank this. -
They should be ASHAMED!!!:smt011
mje Thanks this. -
Thank you! Someone commented that Covenant owns SRT. Covenant is known for preaching about Jesus. There's a note on every trailer about "pro life". So, clearly they are only deeply concerned about life while it's in fetus form while life in driver form or driver's widow and family form is no longer of value. I'm not going into politics and religion on this, but those responsible for this mess should not get surprised if they get cancer or Alzheimer's some time soon. Actions like that are against moral standards by any religion and really against humanity.
I always have a bad feeling about people who pretend to be saintly. There usually is a deep incurable defect when people go above and beyond preaching good.
I will make an effort to inform as many people as I can about SRT and Covenant.Last edited: Jul 31, 2013

Its sad that SRT demanded payment for shipping his remains and personal affects home.
However, they are a trucking company, and moving trucks costs money.
Second, its really NOT their responsibility to get the late driver (or his belongings) back to his family. -
that story made me sick....thats just plain sad and disgusting.....that poor family
White_Knuckle_Newbie, trkingblood, born&raisedintheusa and 2 others Thank this. -
Well ain't that a b****. SRT great move I'm sure spending 2k to bring your driver home would have put you out of business uh? ####### ######## hypocrites money loving ####roaches go #### yourselves.
Jakethebrake99, drozzer69, Tennessee Trucker and 7 others Thank this. -
i understand its not the companies responsibility to get the deceased drivers belongings home, but how about a little human decency??
CertifiedSweetie, US MARINE, truckon and 10 others Thank this. -
Reading that story made me sick. Out of respect for their employee and the family and because it's the right thing to do when a driver passes away while on the road a company should at least make sure the remains and belongings get back to the family if the family can't provide that. And I thought companies leaving drivers stranded was pretty low but to strand a driver whose passed away seems just as bad if not worse. Their so busy passing all these bs hos regulations they need to actually pass laws benefitting drivers like maybe a Last Ride law for situations like this. Ridiculous to say the least!
str8rida, RAGE 18, drvrtech77 and 3 others Thank this.
