At the Peelot in Haines City, FL where I did a bang up job of "invent a spot" parking right next to the scale where it says no parking. Already got a tongue lashing from another driver who was kind enough to point out I was in a no parking spot. I pointed out that there are at least a dozen trucks parked where oversize loads should go, another dozen back in spots those trucks could fit in and the load on my trailer that's 13' wide that will not fit in an 11' wide hole. I even offered up the use of my 100' tape measure and told him I was going to eat while he found me a back in spot at least 14' wide and walked away.

 

You tell em. I take it they routed you down 27 all the way to Miami? I deliver in Hialeah at Amtrak Monday morning. I can taste the cafe con leche already!

As for the parking, the Peelot manager gave me his business card and told me if anyone else says anything they can come talk to him.

 

That was nice of him to do that! I hated being OD and having to find a spot in a truckstop especially when the trucks all leave a space between another truck. Its like they are scared to back next to another truck...

You've got some nice construction on 95 south of 60. 826 sucks every day. Lots of stuff to do in Miami unless your babysitting the trailer. Partying in SOBE probably would not make the wife to happy though.

 

Oak Creek, Wi at our global headquarters. Had planned on hooking to an empty and heading out except some jerkoff dropped it with two burnt out marker lights. I would enjoy my job more if we didn't employ children who need their hand held.
