Well post 40 kinda says it all.
The owner has figured out the 'fine' that was on my last statement. Good.
He has also taken full control and observation of my money. Good again.
    I want him to.
I think because he is now paying attention we will avoid any further problems.

I am going to return all stickers, number plate and a termination note as soon as I receive the money for my last BOL.
I am not desperate for any of this money.
That is not the point. I want what is mine, in full and without any ridiculous charges.
To be honest I think things are going much better.
This is a little company that needs to concentrate on making drivers feel they can trust. The trust is everything and without it they can't grow. I would be there still if I could trust them but I can't. That was destroyed a while back.
Maybe the next guy can do better with the trust thing because things will change for the better. I wish them good luck. I bear no malice I just won't tolerate nonsense. I have stated my view in post 2.

I am now at another place and the comparison is striking especially with the various fees and money held for fuel etc. In short there aren't any! A very big contrast.
Just to illustrate how easy it is for a driver with a good CSA and driving record to hook up it took me less than 3 hours from start to finish. It is easy to go. I think it is in the best interests of trucking companies to bear this in mind.

Does that answer your question HotH2o?

I am sorry Joe, are you asking me if I am serious? Or is it rhetorical? I am sorry I am a little tired, busy day.

Thanks Oregon Joe. This is trucking and not any surprise.
There are several kinds of companies in my opinion.
There are the great mechanical giants. You are just a number and your welfare is so far down the list it isn't even worth it for them to take it into consideration. Crete, CR England, Swift, Werner etc.

There are the smaller companies that have aspirations to be Crete, Swift, Werner etc. So with their massive number of drivers totaling anything up to the staggering heights of maybe 30 they install a "push button 1 for dispatch" telephone system. This gives the impression they are a Crete, Swift etc.

Then there are smaller companies that are run by an old experienced trucker who has been a company / flatbed / tanker / dry van / OO and who knows what drivers need to be content. I think this is generally the best although I know of one out and out crook in Garden City, Kansas that is personally known by everybody at OOIDA. He is the exception I think, just proving that you always have to be on your guard.
    Sad isn't it?

    Update:-

    Things continue to improve.
On Tuesday 8/13/13 the UPS envelope arrived on Status Transportation's doorstep with my last BOL.
On Wednesday 8/14/13 the money - in full with no more mystery deductions - was deposited in my checking account.

You see they can do it if they try! There is hope!

Tonight I have sent my UPS envelope with the number plate (already issued to another driver per an email dated 8/8/13), IFTA stickers, NY sticker and lease termination (dated as of 7/31/13).
I am expecting some kind of pro rate on the registration and the full $1,500 escrow refunded. We will see what happens.

Now according to DOT regulations a company has 45 days to settle with a driver after they have parted company. I was dropped from their insurance as of July 31st. SO, the 45 days starts from August 1st not when the lease termination is received. Therefore as of this post 22 days have passed, another 23 days to go.
I will keep this thread updated.
Let's hope for the best for everybody. Status's recent actions have gone some way to restoring their credibility. Fingers crossed.

    You make a good point!
    Yes I do.

I should have quit when the last bs happened.
    Yes you should have.

    Enough is enough.
    Yes it is.

I thought for a brief moment there that I was going to get away with it for a few more months and leave in good order but they got me.
    I tried to tell you.

    You are right.
    Of course I am.

This will all work out in the end.
    Yes it will...but for whom?

    I will win out.
    I doubt it.

Not the end of the world.
No, not for most of us.

This guy is a complete idiot! I have seen some moronic posts before but this takes the cake!
He has taken multiple post responses not made to him but to other posters and pretended they were made to himself. He is desperate to appear sage and wise. He is actually neither and has added zero to this thread.
Dude accept the fact that you are not too bright and have absolutely nothing positive to offer and keep quiet. Now wander back off to your coloring books and make sure your helmet is on nice and tight.
    Jeez what a clown!

    Update:

Well it is now September 8th and I have received no money. As I said earlier they have cash flow problems otherwise it would have been intelligent to just pay me off and hope I go away. I don't think they have the spare cash to do that, it is all last minute.
They owe me $1,500 escrow and $1,100 in prorate on my registration. Just a coincidence it ran exactly 4 months so that means they owe me 8 months refund. $1650 divide by 12 and multiply by 8 = $1,100.
I even have an email saying that they cancelled my insurance and issued the reg to another driver as of the 31st July.
    So
    grand total is (drum roll)
    $2,600
Let us see what turns up.
Come the 15th of September and I shall be getting the keyboard out again, here there and everywhere.

You do know you're never going to see that money unless you take action don't you?I suggest small claims court. So what if they don't have the money, that's not your problem.
