The ones we are sent out with are. We had to sign an agreement stating we can not sue the owner ops if we get hurt on their trucks.

That just happens to be the ones you were paired up with. Instructors (you'll get a "trainer" in TnT) can be company employees, lease-operators or owner-operators.

I appreciate you sharing your experience during this process. I start my oreintation on 9/16 and, despite reading several posts on this forum, am still a bit nervous about it.

Thank you sir and good luck to you.

Good luck to you. The only thing to be nervous about is if you don't have your permit yet, and when you get it, if at prime, the rest will be a breeze.

I did mention earlier about the size of the class. A lot of people think it is a bad thing or a negative on The company, not at all. Class is so large because of prime giving so many people the opportunity to make it. When the class size shrinks So much, it is not because of prime, it is because of people trying to waste the their time. Some know they can pass a drug screen, physical or even handle being on the trucks for that long or the life style. Those who don't make it are not due to prime. Some are at fault and other are due to regulations that must be met. So you have to know and understand what you are getting into.

Your class of 50 will be down to 10 by Friday. After the two to three weks of training maybe 5 of those 10 will actually obtain their CDL. Then about 2-3 will actually make it through the TnT process.
Its really not anything difficult, the lifestyle of the job is just waaaay too much for a lot of people.

Also, to re-iterate on what IronPony said. Instructors and trainers can be company too. The majority are lease ops because thet get a lot more financial benefits from you.

LOL, thats no lie, out of 5 trainees I had in a row, only 2 made it through the PSD phase, 1 I washed out as he would panic and freeze up if something went wrong, to include missing a gear, 1 jumped truck after the 1st day, the last one stayed on truck for 1 week then jumped the truck. LOL the last 2 just decided they did not want the life style or missed mama to much.

As of today, there are still many of my class still here. Around 30 or more. My roommate is also getting sent home because of not clearing medical paperwork. Still playing the waiting game. Didn't get much done today myself, supposed to be heading to the millennium building some

You should really be spending your slack time out on the pad getting ahead of things. Can you do a pretrip perfectly yet?
