your right on the money(extreme4x4) entry level jobs don't pay much no matter where they are. yes the entry level jobs at walmart don't pay that much but just like any job if you put the time in working hard instead of complaining you can better yourself. even at walmart ,my cousin starting unloading trucks in the back for minimum wage now he manages a walmart store makes 120 k a year.

Thats one of the facts the haters fail to point out. A high percentage of entry level workers will eventually make it into management. Far better odds than at most other fortune 500 level companies. It called entry level for a reason.

its a bit funny. they don't want you if "you've had more than 1 non-preventable accident in the past 3 years.?"

they don't want you, if your un-lucky. LOL.

Unlucky,no its because there are plenty of drivers that have clear records, some stretching out over 20 years. Why should any company lower the standard if its meeting its hiring goals?

i think you miss the point.

(I dont have any accidents, of any sort).

what, could a driver do about an accident they couldn't prevent ?

what logic is being applied ?

    what "lowering of standard" ?

The point is crystal clear,a clean record needs no explanation.

I drive for airproducts and chemicals. We also get paid for everything we do including sitting in traffic backups, and fueling. And it's hourly pay at 23 dollars. Hub miles and greate benefits. Local drivers and over the road. If the truck has a sleeper it's team. You get paid for every mile your co driver runs and his time on the clock, vise versa for him. I make over 100k a year. So if you've tried wal mart and it didn't work give Apci a look. Also I work a 5 and 2 schedule, usually get 2 and a half days off. And 2 weekends off a month, one is a 3 day weekend.

I'm planning on applying when I have the experience needed. What is defined as a preventable accident? I have a few very minor things on my dac but no csa points or anything DOT related. No tickets or violations. For example, in Wyoming winter before last, I got frozen to the pavement from the snow and ice because I80 was shut down for three days. The tow driver just pulled me out, but that ended up on my dac. Would they consider that a preventable accident?
