Where Are You....continues........

Back to work this week. Hauling liquid fertilizer around Manitoba and Saskatchewan with Super B train. 140k pounds gross weight! Got a brand new 2014 volvo with D16 engine and 12 speed I-shift auto trans. Pulls good and has plenty of power, not too sure about the trans though. Seems a bit "off" to me. I think it will take some getting used to.

Drove almost all night... very strong winds on I-80 WY.... gusty about 60+ mph... Had to really slow down...

Now I am at a truck stop in UT. Got here with only 10 mins left from my 11.



Found a great spot and will leave early in the morning. But may come back after my delivery about 10 mins from here.



Cooked a delicious meal in the truck... now I am kinda sleepy.... going to bed soon...

 

I've heard from a lot of folks that the winds across WY are something else. Brickman (AWOL Mod) posted some pics earlier this week on FB of the snows around there already. Hope you didn't run into any of the white gold up there. It's looks to be a rather nice day there, judging by the pics.

We had a couple of really good rains here this morning, both while we were in the stores, but they sounded worse due to the high winds. Now it's quite chilly outside and I've had to put a sweater on to step out for the past couple hours.

34 restart complete (Vegas)....heading out to that wonderful T/A West (Ontario) to wait out the night time bumper car exhibits from the party weekend crowd and join the hurry up and wait crew for the run to Compton for an 0800 delivery .... most likely back on the I-5 detail after that!
