You get through the simulator faster, and have a whole lot less stress than the folks who are cramming for permit tests. Check this out...

    Thank you ironpony
I am sure the simulator is used as a training platform for people that have never drove
and the people that have been away from trucking for awhile.
Is it also like a test also ? a pass or go home kind of thing ?.
    Thank you.

All new hires have to pass the simulator work. A word of advice... if Bambi wanders out in front of you, the correct response is brake moderately and turn it into roadkill. Don't give the staff a hard time about where to put the quarters, or jokes about videogames. They're a bit sensitive over it.

Doesn't do much to guard Bambi! Just turns Bambi into mushed up venison instead of just broken Bambi. It does however protect the bumper, grill, and radiator of the truck. But deer guard or not, hit the darned deer. Dead deer and damage to the front of the truck (I have experience w/ the amount of $$ that costs) is far better than what can happen if you swerve a vehicle (any vehicle) at 65mph.

Um, when hubby hit the deer, he was dry van. And the cost to repair the truck was up there........Apparently, he was going around 65 -70 when he hit a full grown buck. And blew it apart.

Ok on all 9 points you made, I totally understand keeping all correspondence done.
Will bring a up to date DMV report from home State.
And copy of my DOT Phys.
Will make sure I let the trainer an fleet manager know that I would like to have all the backing and drive
time I can get Per HOS. Now you say 3 times fail and at the begging ? talking skills test ? meaning they let you stay and go thru again ?. I wont be late !! Wont be a smart ### I am there to learn all I can.
Great job on your response thank you very much for your time.
If I have other questions hope I may ask.
