Las Vegas, NV.
Got a nice 2k load to IL, delivering by 0900 on 10/15.
The delivery will be close because I am running recap and my hours won't come in until 0200, but I'll have plenty of time off each day since I have averaged ~9 hours each day.
My first load this morning was taking my mt to Central Transport.
Then I had no mt for my next load.
The planners sent me directions in short order, then as I was driving there my DM also sent directions to a different place.
I went to the first one, and no mt's. So I went to the second.
Another driver had taken the last mt 10 minutes prior.
After waiting nearly an hour I was finally given permission to bobtail to my next load.
This is a hi-val load, so I had to go 200 miles before stopping. After parking here I have 32 minutes left on my 70.
A lot of time wasted trying to find an mt, after they stole the one I had.
Why couldn't a day-tripper get an mt from someplace local and deliver it to Central, instead of causing me the headache?
Good night from...

At the J in Tye, TX. On my way to Findlay, OH, deliver Monday.

At the petro in north little rock stuck doing a 34 went balls to the walls all week after leaving home.

Moriarity, NM. After finally getting the truck out of shop, this is as far as I wanted to go. Strong head winds again. This is going to end up a crap week. Could not get out of the next pplan, so I guess that I will starting next week with 2100 miles, but since it is Command load, miles really mean nothing since it is flat rate. they already have one for me from Cleveland back to TX if I want it.

on the note of the DM not being there.....this whole thing falls apart without him since nobody seems to understand what we are doing. He set me up with 4 commited loads yesterday and since I only got 3 I went and did the 4th this morning which dropped just fine. Tried to call him with no answer so I figured he was busy and sent a directed message I dropped and im going to head for another and to build me plans when he has time but never heard anything. Got back to the rail with the 2nd trailer and I could not drop it since it wasnt in the system, called up fontana and the first person was confused and clueless so then talked to another person and then finally the operations manager who then built me loads and said to do my arrived at shipper then loaded call and he would fix everything for me.....2 hours go by and I can now finally drop the trailer then went and got a 3rd but because of the confusion etc I couldnt get a 4th before xtra lease closed.
I am going to talk to the planners here in Lathrop in the morning and see if there is anything local that needs to deliver, I know I have always delivered during the week here so we will see. Even if I take the weekend off I can still make close to a $1k check this week I calculated but my goal was to hit $1200+. Ohwell stuff happens
The other guy plans to just relax over the weekend but I want to make as much money as I can right now. -

Here at my second home, Goodyear, AZ. Think that I will have to do what I do not like, take a 34 this weekend. During the next 8 days as far as recap, I am going to have a Zero and 3 days under 4 hours getting back. That plus I have a 2100 mile load to pu on Monday. Guess better to have the 70. I have 31 hours now but I have a 3.5 then a few 9's and then two under 4 in a row. There is a good chance that on Friday when I deliver in Cleveland I have a weekend load back to TX and those 2 4's could come back and bite me.
Tapeworm Thanks this. -
West Memphis, AR at the J. 640 miles today and about the same tomorrow then deliver on Monday.

I saw we got paid today early so I went to target near the Lathrop terminal and got a couple things but then decided to head to walmart in Manteca since target was so dang expensive, got me a new 5 day ice chest since I left my big one at home and this one is the perfect size for the truck and was 10 bucks cheaper than target plus got me a saute pan and spatula so I can cook more in my truck and been craving omelets and then stocked up on some food and stuff. I wont go anywhere tomorrow so I will get a 34 before I start doing trailers again Monday and will have my full 70 to push hard all week. My plan is to cut down my eating to less than $25 a week even though im making decent checks, trying to save as much extra as I can so I can get a new car at tax time for my wife. Our car has 210k miles on it and starting to nickle and dime me here and there, will possibly just use that car to drive back and forth to the terminal once I get her a new one.

In UT at a J.
Got word that my load delivers a full day later, so I have some extra time.
So I got a room at a motel so I could watch the NASCAR race.
Not that crazy about it, because now I'll not get any more miles this week.
But, on the other hand, I finally got to watch a race. I've only been able to watch 2 of this entire season, including this one.
