I made a last minute decision to buy a Rand McNally 720 at Best Buy, since I turn my phone off when I'm in Canada (in Canada right now using a spotty wifi). I have 15 days to return it. So if I don't like it (already miss my old Garmin which I sold to a friend) I can return it to any Best Buy.
If I return it, I'll either get this app for my iPhone 4S or I'll get the Garmin DEZL 560.
I Just Bought the CoPilot App for 30% off!

best buiy don't provide customer serivce.
best buy don't provide customer service.
and if by chance they might. and you return. don't forget that restocking fee.
wonder why walmart gives 30 days and no fee. -
I'm surprised best buy is still in business. Every time I go in the local store here it's dead. Store employees don't seem to know what they're doing. One guy said he doesn't think there is job security there. I noticed now if you look for a store on their website. They got rid of the local numbers. Now every thing goes to a central call center. Kind of dumb if you need a quick question between 2 products or something where you have to be in the store to answer. Also I noticed today that if you do a search for a product in their website. It will search outside sellers for similar products. Kind of like amazon. They must be desperate to make that dollar.

Truckers Atlas is a lot cheaper.

acer had just come out with the first gps tablet. bestbuy said no such thing or technology existed. so we went home. ordered it online from another store and picked up. after we checked on reveiws. too bad nothing was mentioned about the lousy broadcomm gps chip that don't work.
i've noticed best buy selling a lot of product lately online. from other stores. i just wanna see what you have from your own store. i don't want to see 200 pages of product that has to be ordered from buy.comBuckeye91 Thanks this. -

I was just at a shipper north of Calgary, AB and the directions I was given from my company told me to go west on HWY 54 and turn at the first light but they should have said HWY 154! I had to drive over 20 miles before I could turn around. When I did, I stopped in the place and asked for directions and the helpful young man came over to my truck with his smart phone and showed me so I could put it in my GPS (address didn't work). Plus he explained it to me while drawing it on a piece of paper.
The GPS still tried to send me down a restricted road.
Moral of the story: A GPS isn't a substitute for looking out the window, it's just one of several tools that I use. In this case, they all failed me. Fortunately I didn't follow it blindly when I could clearly see the "no trucks" sign.
Nothing's perfect out here.cowboy_tech Thanks this. -

gps sent you down a restricted road becuase it's not restricted for cars.
having the CORRECT tools works better then just having tools.
you wouldn't use american wrenches on your metric car. you'll round out the bolts.
don't expect a car navigation to correctly guide your semi.Last edited: Oct 21, 2013
