Did anyone mention getting out of the truck before setting the brakes?

Just had a guy do that at the fuel island and he had to jump back in the moving truck to stop it. Also my newly issued (almost new) truck had the left side reworked because the previous driver got out of the truck without setting the brakes.

HUH? Give me some verbiage on what I should say to safety about why I was not using my headlights AT NIGHT, please?

Who am I offending? Someone that does not have, or can not afford curtains?

Sitting too long at a truck stop because you can't deliver loads on time.

Turning your headlights off while moving is putting yourself and everyone around you at risk. Turning your headlights off while stopped or for another hand trying to back in ect. is good.

Heck, I try to add to the excitement by driving with ALL my lights off and blowing my air horn. The fun is letting other drivers try to guess where exactly I am by sound!:biggrin_2552:

It doesn't bother me if the truck is moving.

But for crying out loud, turn them off once you're (not necessarily you Pmracing) in the hole! When I'm backing into the empty space next door I don't need someone's headlights shining in my mirror.

    Pmracing Thanks this.

God yes that is annoying, and it looks so amateurish. It is one thing to sit there with your markers on, I mean I paid a lot of money for those lights, I think they look great, took a lot of work putting them all on the truck, and they make it so you can see it well at night so you don't back into it, but leaving the headlights on is just dumb.
