Freebird, I am in my 3rd day of training here at Millis. I am sitting in the nice hotel they put me in with my roomate. They give us our own van to drive to and from the terminal so we don't have to use our own gas. So far the training is great and the company seems really solid and they retain a lot of drivers after being there a year which should tell you something. Bill the instructor has forgotten more things then I will ever know about trucking and he has a great personality, he is funny as hell, and he is patient with everyone. I researched for months before I joined Millis and I felt they were the best choice, after 3 days and talking with many of the drivers here, I still feel the same way.. Hope this helps.

    Good Luck!

One good thing about Millis is we go to a lot of the same shippers and receivers, which is nice in my opinion you're able to plan better and maximize your time I very rarely take a reset I've been here about 14 months I took 1 reset & it wasn't planned.

Hi Baritone and other Millis Trainers, please read my profile and let me know if I should at least get on your radar at this stage? Or can you steer me towards a recruiter? I am still employed but expect to be layed off any time between tomorrow and some time in spring. I have a long term oustanding work history and am very impressed with what I have found about Millis Transfer as an employer. Any suggestions/feedback would be appreciated.

Hello, I should have all licensing/certifications complete by early December, and I was looking for a little information on the Millis Texas Regional job (pay, mileage, hometime, etc). Thanks in advance for any information.

I have a fondness for Alice. You can call her and she or any one of them can answer your questions.

Can't help you with Regional sorry but I am sure one of the guys on here can/will. Just be patient as many are not on here often.

Thanks all, I have been approved for school, but will hold off until I am laid off, probably in the spring. Rachel is the one that called back, not very excited about her job...if I have questions I will ask for Alice. I look forward to meeting you all.

    Ga Dawg141 Thanks this.
