I recently was approved to go to orientation for LS. I currently live in portland Oregon and was wondering how the freight is as far as staying regional in the Pacific Northwest. I've done the OTR thing and can handle it, but I have a disabled daughter and would like to stay within a day or two drive home. Would it be foolish to lease on with LS or do you think I should look elsewhere. One of the things that sold me to LS was being able to hustle your own loads. Nothing worse than playing the dispatcher game when you're trying to make the truck payment.
I guess what I'm looking for is running from PDX or Seattle to SLC or run the I-5. Any info is appreciated. Trying to make an informed decision

    stay safe drivers, thanks

We ship daily out of Portland and Gresham and can use all the help we can get from BCO's. Rates are decent, but not astounding.

1.ANY O/O would be a ool to lease to a company that has company owned trucks, they will load those trucks long before yours!
    2. Running regional you will have to know what your expenses are and If that freight lane is going to meet your financial needs. That area can be a money maker going in but not sure coming out.
    3. what type o trailer do you have or plan on pulling?
