In that case, it's great to hear that the school may have improved.
All I can say from my experience is that I learned far more from Schneider than from Continental.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with them. I sat with one of their reps/recruiters and by the time I left there I did not have a good feeling in my gut. I ended up going to International truck schools! It was ok, but it was just another truck driver mill. Now that I am on my own I can say just listen to your mentor and practice. practice, practice

So what was the cost?(2013 price)

What was the deal with the financing they advertise? They say they self finance so what's the catch?

How many students per instructor? per truck?

No catch with the financing, the school was $3000 cash or 7 months of $525 per month, not a bad deal.

As far as students to instructor it depends on classroom or practical. Classroom can have up to 20 students, but practical was about 6 to 1.

    glenn71 Thanks this.

How did placement go? Did the lack of certification affect the job hunt?

I see you are with Crete. Not the direction I'm pointing toward. I'm looking at the oilfield. Did you see oilfield recruiters visiting the school?

I went there when I first tried to get CDL, would not recommend them to my dog. Even the owner was unprofessional and treated us like crap, his attitude was he was making money anyways. The owner spoke of my personal business in front of everyone, very unprofessional.

That's because the don't really like women, they have one woman there & she is 2 faced. My instructor was a flirtatious black guy and he made me uncomfortable and uneasy, the other instructors lack morality as well. The owner is an ###### and the receptionist flirts with all the men. Seems to be a money hungry joint and still not accredited, so meh its up to you. But I felt I wasted my money but thanks to an incident with a male student I got out of this place. Oh prepare to have these losers want to go out to drink with them to "get to know you"..

That's because you were born with male anatomy, women don't get same treatment or training. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL LADIES, THEY LIE! Close to perfect my butt! Follow your gut always.
