That is a perfect idea! The check can't be cashed then, but she will have the money to get her home! I would certainly be getting after that trainers BUTT!! I can not believe that a trainer would do that.

    Thanks.

######. This is wrong. Even if a trainer has no intention of continuing on with a student, he or she should be responsible enough to drop that student at a terminal. This same scenario happened to a friend of mine who was kicked off a Swift truck after a simple mistake that he RECOVERED the truck from.

Cle Elum looks pretty far out in Nowereland. You're best bet is to see if you can get a ride into Belleview (headed West). That should put you close to a Greyhound station. Does the motel have any info for getting that far? Shuttles? Busses? Westbound trucks? Friendly families who might offer a ride?

Should have dropped them off in North Bend at the TA. At least more is there. There's nothing in Cle Elum.

It looks like Ellensburg (Exit 106) is pretty close going the other way. There are truck stops there if she can't get any rides into Belleview. There may be a feeder line who hooks up with Greyhound there, too.

Hi, Loveto, yes there is more to the story; the trainer had logged me on yesterday morning after she stopped at a truckstop (not sure where, but it was in Oregon on the 84). I had been in the sleeper berth for at least 10 hours prior. Because I went into the stop for some coffee and to freshen up, she had, without my knowledge or permission, put me on my 30-minute break. After driving about 5 hours, I wanted to take a break and get a bite to eat and she said no, I'd already taken my 30 minute break that morning! Hmmm. So I called her on the obvious issue and she went off. I spoke with the evening dispatch, and while I wanted off her truck, I agreed to give it another shot. Now I'm driving out of Cle Elum and she's talking to her hubby about her h.o.s. and that she was at her 14-hour limit. Because I've only been with the company for a few weeks, she needed to be on-duty while I was on duty. There's a weigh station in this area (yes?) and she got up and went to the berth. She came back after we passed it (closed) and she admitted that she had falsely logged herself off-duty. And somehow, even though I had driven 9 hours, the qualcomm reported that I still had 3 and 1/2 hours drive time left. This was b.s. and I was going to drive to the next town--Cle was18 miles behind me) and get off her truck and in a motel. She didn't approve of that and said drive to the next truck stop, but it had no accomodations and I had all my bags plus my bedding to deal with. She was screaming at me so I pulled over, she told me to "get the f off my truck" and I called 911, asking for help and also DOT to report her falsifying the logs. I also told dispatch, after he refused to load my com data card with enough for a hotel room, that I would be contacting DOT.

I was not so offended by her messing around with the logs, I'm not a rat. However, when it meant pushing me past the limit, yeah, I have a problem with that. The Company now wants nothing to do with me and refuses to acknowledge their derelict employee. This is both a huge professional issue, but my gosh, on a moral and ethical level, it doesn't even rate. Go ahead and fire me, I'll be fine. But don't let me drive your trailer 1400 miles and strand me in the middle of nowhere. That's where I am! I have a load of things because I hadn't planned on being home for 5 weeks.

Anyway, thank you for asking for a clarification that I'm sure others were wondering too!

I once got a qualcomm message asking me to pick up a female. The trainer had tossed her and her belongings out of the truck just like that. Not in the winter time though. If I remember it was in the Dakotas and I dropped her off at her town of Chugwater Wyoming.

She said he wanted sex. Put out or get out. I remember her name to this day.

Thank you, no I'm no longer employed, and I even called Payroll so they could put my last paycheck on the card. This, too, is unbelievable: "Since you're no longer employed here, I put your paycheck in the mail this morning."

This company hates me for called the cops. On top of everything, they know I am far from home, so they put the check in the mail. That can't be true. Nothing works that fast, they're just spiteful and nasty. There's no reason to mess with my life like this! Unfortunately, there are no laws they've broken (??????), the police told me it's now a civil matter. I can sue them, but that's not gonna keep me warm tonight or get home tomorrow.

    Thanks again!
