My husband recently had a rear-end collision caused by brake failure on the trailer and was let go from his job. Do any of you know of any good companies that will hire him? He has over one year of recent driving experience, and several years experience driving in the military. Thanks for anything that you can share.

That's a preventable so doubt he gets hired for awhile. The mega carriers wont but try smaller ones 50 trk or less and tell your husband to start doing his pretrips.

Brake " failure " is rare. Bad brakes on a trailer is not.Pre-trip, and if brakes are marginal, compensate by allowing more stopping distance. Bet he learned a valuable lesson. Smaller fleets might work, possible local carriers. Good luck.

This crowd doesn't like the 3 "r" s.
Rollover, roll away, and rear end.
The third is often the worst.
Try shooting Chinatown a PM, he may have a few leads on smaller outfits that will let him go again.GITRDUN45 Thanks this. -
Military driving can be very hard to verify, Normally they will only respond with service dates and not duties.

Under the circumstances, does'nt matter how many yrs exp he has.,doesn't matter about his time in the service.Think companies will see the preventable before they get into all the other stuff on his application.
