Gazelle, over expanded, does not know how to manage the growth, can not keep terminal or safety managers....
Yes I used to work for them. Recently hired a regional manager from Gibson/taylor, and then gave half the loads gazzelle was hauling to gibson....saying that the gazelle drivers could not handle the volume.
Gemini, looks to be on the right track with their expansion. Must fill out paperwork correctly to get paid, easily done. Gemini scaled back on their expansion into wyoming, and are focused on the Windsor colorado operation, the last time I spoke to them.

Boy does that put my mind at ease. Thank you for your post! When I did my interview with Gazelle it just seemed to be a little disjointed around there. I think the owner is a go getter but they might be going for more than they can get and its costing them. The Gemini yard was under construction. A lot is going on there. Love's Transport, who owns Gemini, is pouring millions of dollars into their yard. They are adding to their crude off loading facility and adding more capacity. They have an impressive rail spur there and most of the Gemini loads will come back to there. They are adding fuel islands for the company trucks as well which is nice to have. I think I made the right decision to go with them, now I hope the income will be what was discussed. Around 75K per year. Ill keep you all posted as I move forward. I do know that they are still looking for drivers. They seem to be a little more discerning as to who they hire.

The equipment is good. New Western Stars. 10 speed tranny's with Detroit's under the hood. Most are day cabs. The trailers are all new as well. Gemini started up in Windsor last spring so everything is under a year old. They do not pay by % of load. Each site is assigned a $ amount. If you can get a short and a long run you will make around $250. Two longs would be around $300. Then there is an additional $25 if you have to throw chains on. Wait time after the first hour is $20 per hour. You are also guaranteed a minimum each week. If its slow or bad weather you will be paid the minimum even if you are sitting at home all week. I've been training for 2 days now and so far it appears to be a decent place to work. They, like many in the crude hauling business, are growing fast. I can see some growing pains that I hope will get ironed out as time goes by. For the most part the drivers there are content and willing to ride out any minor issues in hopes that it will become what we think it can be. The best crude hauling job in Northern Colorado. Love's, who owns Gemini, also owns Musket. Musket is the nations largest crude oil transfer company. Musket has facilities all over N. America and Canada. Love's is pouring millions of $s into the Windsor facility. 8 off loading bays. Adding more rail spurs, covered parking for the trucks, on site fuel for the Gemini trucks, and much more. Get back with me in a couple weeks and I can give you a better feel for them. So far so good!
