I am hoping to do the FL round trip this week and next so I can be home before Santa. I turned in my truck to the shop Friday evening. PM..a/c...turbo...air leaks. Ya know...the usual stuff. Got a loaner and got the paperwork around 12 hours early so I could haul butt as soon as I got up. Headed to BJ's in Jax for bright and early Tuesday. This morning at the coffee brewing b.s. session I talked to a couple drivers that were in Houston...one at Pol-Tex and had to be sent elsewhere to pick up loads...I hope that was a brief interruption in production. From Jax, it's likely I'll head to LaGrange...but this time of year I may be going to pick up peanut shell powder again. We shall see.

I keep driving past all those shiney new trucks and drool...since I'm in a mid 3400 number truck...I think I may be waiting a couple more rounds of truck purchases before I see a new one...oh well...gota pay those dues...

I just did the bj jax run and was sent to pick up some bags of clay in Georgia going to ballinger TX where I sit now for morning unload. Never done this load before as I was expecting a riceboro or Lagrange load.

I've heard that Riceboro is only being put on drivers that have the tanker endorsement on their license. I was just a few miles away from Riceboro in Midway a few weeks ago, but I don't have tanker(yet) so they sent me over north of Tifton for peanut shell powder going to Ballinger. From there they rolled me back to GP...but they didn't tell me until the morning of the delivery so I had missed all that days outbound and had to wait another day on the yard for a load.

One step closer to home. Emptied early in Waller(just like everyone does) and called outbound to make sure they save me a FL load so I can beat Santa to the door.(we live in a house w/o a chimney). Just before 5 pm backhaul calls. Pick up in Evadale, TX Thursday delivering the same day in Dallas.

Has anyone been to Mead-Westvaco over there in Evadale or Solo cups in Dallas? The Mead up in Raphine, VA are slow moleasses covered s.o.b.'s. I am hoping that some of the TX charm has made these folks a little better to deal with.

Do you know how Santa gets in a mobile home?
Just like every one else, 229 down 229 a month.
Not that you live in a trailer, just a good joke for chimney less people

Busy. I'm currently on a the stopper. Delivered this morning in Charlotte & drove to Baltimore where I'm parked at the receiver. Final in Totowa,NJ tomorrow afternoon. Picking up in NJ going to Carrollton, TX. Then I'm going home for a week.

So a very Merry CHRISTmas to all, & a Happy New Year!
