Baytown, TX. Dropped just after 1am and been sitting in a t/s down the road waiting since. Guess maybe they are looking for something to the house since my hometime is supposed to start Monday. Haven't heard back on the dedicated account yet. I called yesterday to followup but got voicemail. Left a message saying I was going to bed in about an hour so I could run thru the night. Hoping for some news today. This is the end of week 5 out here and I am so ready to be home.

So the load they foisted on me (A to B turned into A to B to C) has turned into a sinking quicksand pit. I got to the shipper 13 hours early and dropped the empty. Returned back early hoping to get it out the gate sooner but they said come back at the pickup time. So I came back at 1600 but the load was not ready til midnight. then it was overweight. I asked them to remove the load off my truck as I am sitting too long on a 400 mile run, but got zero response.

Waiting for a B Service in the Mira Loma yard. Made my delivery to Compton last night from Las Vegas. 19,000 load and finished with 7.1 mpg. 10.1 mpg to bobtail to ML. They ran a diagnostics last night and determined the check engine light was for an oil change.

Yesterday my Qualcomm navigation completely froze up getting to the shipper in Vegas. I had to park on the side of the road and use Google Maps to find the customer. Running the I-15 wasn't a problem, so I kept trying to get the QC nav system to get the route along the way to Barstow.... nothing.

Then I got a warning message that I needed to go to paper logs because QC wasn't tracking me. In Barstow I looked at my log graph and it still showed me in Vegas!? I also noted that I hadn't received any messages since Vegas, which is odd because you normally get some kind of message over several hours.

So I break out the mirror and flashlight and open the side locker to access the QC black box and found that one of the cords was just laying there unplugged. Plugged it back in and suddenly I'm getting messages and the QC tracking resolved itself and the nav system started working again.

Everything was fine with the QC nav system until I got on the 60 headed east to ML, then I noticed it had frozen again. Just checked and that same cord (must be the antenna cord) had fallen out again. Just plugged it back in and again got a series of messages that weren't received since last night. I'll have the shop check the connection. If they typically say, "Gosh it seems like it is fine now".... then I'll just duck tape the sucker on.

Neeoga, IL. Small little place. Got a pplan, pu at the yard in Memphis, get me 2/3 of the way home. All of 486 miles and deliver for live unload on Monday at noon. So much for getting home before the bank and post office close for the holiday. Guess that I get to take care of laundry on Sunday since I have sooooo much time.

Stanfield, OR at the Pilot. Ran out of time on my 14 to go much further. Good thing because when I checked road conditions east of here on I-84 chains were required in several places. I'll chain to get over a bad spot (like Cabbage) but I refuse to chain and unchain 3 times to go 200 miles. Hopefully things will be better tomorrow as I'm headed home for my Christmas hometime.

Yep, a bad message, and not just the fatality. the driver, I think that he can also count on jail time.
