Well, I am not your "typical" woman. I have less things than he does and it is up on my bunk. His stuff takes up most of the room. Of course, his clothes are larger than mine too, so he needs more space.

Mile marker 271 i40 eastbound, truck down in median. We have averaged 25 mph for the first 100 miles since he started his day, traffic is awful. Car parts all over the interstate, wrecks, overturned trucks. Rain, wind, lightning, flooding, tornado watch.... Constant weather alerts coming in on our cell phones. Worst drive ever.

Made it to Jasper AL. Fueling at the loves.
Drove through the leading edge of that rainstorm. You know those guys on the weather Channel who go out there and stand in the rain in the wind when a hurricane is coming in? It was just like that. An ark would've been a better means of transportation than a semi truck. Hope that was the worst of it, right now it isn't raining as hard, just sprinkling, and the lightning has stopped.
We are stopping, it has been a horrendous day of driving. -

Terry, I'm sorry you are feeling bad, Orange Juice for the cold like symptoms, Chicken noodle soup for the Flu, That is not pleasant going into home time. I wish you well. -
We thought it was over when we stopped but we were wrong, it was just a lull. It rained HARD all night, thundered so loudly that it literally shook the truck each time. And it did that all freaking night. Hard to sleep through all the noise.
Woke up and it is not raining right now. But according to the weather maps we will be driving through more of it as we head south toward FL. And then we got a wake up call from an unknown person wanting to know if we can get this load of chicken delivered to Orlando tonight, it HAS to be on time, and why aren't we further along on the route? Must be the weekend crew who knows nothing about anything and hasn't read any of the notes about this ill-fated chicken load. Really? On time? Tell Tyson that, they made it late and put us right in the middle of a bad storm and they want us to perform a miracle and somehow get it there on time? Yeah, right. Had to vent. I feel better now.
